Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Harsh Kohli, an individual based in India who operates Radiant ("Radiant", "we", "us", "our"). They govern your use of the Radiant Discord bot (the "Bot"), the website at radiant.harshkohli.com (the "Site"), and any related features, including account linking and premium features (together, the "Service").
By adding the Bot to a Discord server, using any of its commands, linking an account, buying premium features, or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. If you add the Bot to a server on behalf of a community or organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these Terms for that server.
2. Description of the Service
Radiant is an independent, unofficial companion bot for VALORANT players on Discord. It is planned to provide general game information (such as the current act and episode, the competitive map pool, patch note summaries, agent and map information and service status), alerts configured by server administrators, opt-in player profiles and statistics using Riot Sign-On ("RSO") and Riot Games' official API, opt-in server leaderboards and rank roles, and tools to organise private custom games.
Radiant uses only official data sources. It does not provide personal store, wallet or inventory information, does not use unofficial or game-client APIs, and does not provide tools that give players an unfair advantage in matches. Features may be added, changed or removed over time, including to comply with Discord's or Riot Games' policies.
3. Eligibility
- You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement (13, or older where your local law requires) and be allowed to use Discord and, if you link an account, Riot Games services.
- If you are under 18 or under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. Premium purchases by minors require a parent or guardian.
- You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law, or if we have previously suspended or banned you from it.
4. Discord and Riot Games terms
The Service relies on third-party platforms. While using it, you must also comply with:
- Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines; and
- Riot Games' Terms of Service and related policies, if you link a Riot account or play VALORANT.
Discord and Riot Games are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for the Service. Your relationship with them is governed by their own terms. Radiant isn't endorsed by Riot Games or Discord.
5. Riot account linking
- Account linking is optional. You may only link a Riot account that you own, using Riot's official sign-in (RSO). Never share your Riot password with anyone, including us; we will never ask for it.
- Linking your Riot account makes your VALORANT stats and gameplay data public to other Radiant users, such as members of Discord servers where you use Radiant. Features that show your data to others, such as leaderboards and rank roles, only include you if you opt in.
- You can unlink at any time with
/unlink, which deletes your Riot data as described in our Privacy Policy. - You must not attempt to link, view or impersonate another person's account, or to identify players who have hidden their identity in game.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to help anyone else to:
- use the Service for anything illegal, harmful, fraudulent, harassing, hateful or abusive, or to bully, threaten or dox anyone;
- spam commands, flood the Bot, or intentionally overload or disrupt the Service, Discord or Riot Games' systems;
- attempt to bypass rate limits, cooldowns, premium checks or other restrictions, or to access data or features you are not authorised to use;
- reverse engineer, scrape, copy or resell the Service or its data, or use it to build a competing data set;
- use the Service for cheating, scouting opponents before or during matches, match fixing, account sharing, boosting, or any activity that breaks Riot Games' rules or harms game integrity;
- use the Service for betting, gambling or wagering of any kind;
- exploit bugs or vulnerabilities instead of reporting them to us; or
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or impersonate Radiant, Riot Games, Discord or anyone else.
Server administrators are responsible for how the Bot is configured and used in their servers, including which channels and roles it can use.
7. Free and premium tiers
7.1 Free tier
Radiant will always offer a free tier. Core features, including viewing your own linked profile and statistics, are intended to remain free.
7.2 Premium
We may offer optional paid premium features for individual users or servers, such as additional customisation, extra automation and alerts, higher limits and additional analysis. Premium features are described at the point of purchase and may change over time; if we materially reduce a paid feature during a paid period, we will tell you and, where appropriate, offer a pro-rated remedy.
7.3 Billing through third parties
- Premium purchases are processed by third-party platforms such as Discord (Premium Apps), Patreon or Ko-fi. Your purchase is also subject to that platform's terms, pricing, taxes and payment policies. We do not handle your card or bank details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled, unless the platform states otherwise.
- Prices are shown on the platform at the time of purchase and may include applicable taxes. We may change prices for future billing periods with prior notice.
7.4 Trials
We may offer a free trial (for example, 7 days per server). Unless stated otherwise, each server or user may receive one trial. Premium features end when the trial ends unless you subscribe. We may modify or end trial offers at any time and may refuse trials where we see abuse.
7.5 Cancellation
You can cancel a subscription at any time through the platform you purchased it on (for example, Discord's subscription settings, Patreon or Ko-fi). Cancellation stops future renewals; premium benefits normally remain until the end of the current paid period.
7.6 Refunds
Refunds are handled according to the refund policy of the platform you purchased through (for example, Discord, Patreon or Ko-fi). Where we have discretion, we may consider refund requests sent to admin@harshkohli.com, for example if a premium feature was unavailable for an extended period due to our fault. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India).
7.7 Redeem codes
Redeem codes are personal, have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, may expire, and may not be sold or traded. We may cancel codes that were obtained or used fraudulently.
7.8 No gambling and fair pricing
Premium will never include betting, gambling, loot boxes or wagering. We will not charge for access to raw Riot Games data itself; paid features add our own customisation, convenience or analysis on top of it.
8. No guarantee of availability
We work to keep Radiant running, but the Service is provided on an "as available" basis. It may be interrupted, slowed down or unavailable at times, for example during maintenance, outages at Discord, Riot Games or our hosting providers, API rate limits, or changes to third-party APIs or policies. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. If we permanently discontinue a paid feature, we will give reasonable notice where possible.
9. Data accuracy
Game information and statistics come from Riot Games' official API, official VALORANT announcements and patch notes, and our own calculations based on them. This data may be delayed, incomplete or occasionally wrong, and may differ from what you see in the game. Countdowns and dates are estimates based on available information and may change without notice. Patch summaries are shortened for convenience; the official patch notes are the authoritative source. Don't rely on the Service for anything important.
10. Intellectual property and Riot Games disclaimer
The Radiant name, logo, website design, Bot code and original content are owned by Harsh Kohli. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service in line with these Terms. You may not copy, modify or redistribute the Service except as allowed by law.
VALORANT, Riot Games and all related names, game content and assets are the property of Riot Games, Inc. Radiant does not claim any ownership of them, uses game data only as permitted by Riot Games' developer policies, and does not use Riot Games' logos.
Radiant isn't endorsed by Riot Games and doesn't reflect the views or opinions of Riot Games or anyone officially involved in producing or managing Riot Games properties. Riot Games, and all associated properties are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc.
Discord and its logos are trademarks of Discord Inc. Radiant is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord.
11. Feedback
If you send us suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use them to improve the Service without any obligation to you.
12. Suspension and termination
- You can stop using the Service at any time. Remove the Bot from your server, run
/unlink, or email us to delete your data. - We may suspend or terminate your access, or a server's access, to all or part of the Service if you breach these Terms, if required by Discord, Riot Games or law, or to protect the Service or other users. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.
- If we terminate access because you breached these Terms, you may not be entitled to a refund for any remaining premium period, subject to the platform's policies and applicable law.
- If Riot Games revokes or limits our API access, features that depend on Riot data may stop working, and we may have to discontinue them.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law) will survive.
13. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Radiant is a hobby project run by an individual and is not a professional service.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, in-game progress or items, or Discord or Riot account standing, arising from or related to the Service; and
- our total liability for all claims related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid for premium features in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) INR 1,000.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Harsh Kohli from any claims, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party, including Discord's and Riot Games' terms.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting any formal dispute, please contact us at admin@harshkohli.com so we can try to resolve it informally; we will try to respond within 30 days. Subject to any mandatory rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live, the courts of India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Radiant develops. We will change the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will give reasonable notice on the Site or through the Bot before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, stop using the Service and cancel any subscription.
18. General
- These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
- If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- If we don't enforce a right immediately, we don't waive it.
- You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours to a successor operator of Radiant with notice to you.
- We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
